Photo Competition Entry (Not Currently Used)

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SUBMITTING PHOTOS

If the “Submit” button below the box where you enter your competition photos (above) does not appear, you can still click on the button – it’s there but not showing. The developer of the software BPS is using has been notified of this issue.

The workaround is to move your cursor (pointer) below the entry box until your pointer changes to a “hand” (see image below), then click. Your photos will be uploaded and processed. If you wish to change/delete your entries later, and the “Add, Change or Delete” button doesn’t appear, use the same technique.

Instructions to upload/submit photos to the Competition

The “BPS Competition Entry Form” is used to upload and submit your images. Note that the Title, Image File and Competition Type are all REQUIRED. You will not be able to Submit your images until information in these fields has been correctly entered.

Have your files prepared and ready – this includes ensuring the file dimensions and size are correct, and that the file names follow the naming convention.

  1. You must be logged in, following the login instructions you have been provided. You will NOT be able to upload your images unless you have logged in with your username and password.
    [NOTE! If, after entering your username/password, the message “Sorry, you must be logged in to see this” still appears, REFRESH or RELOAD THIS PAGE in your internet browser. You will then be able to see the grid to submit your images.]
  2. Once you have logged in, you will see “Your Competition Class” – either Class A or Class B.
  3. Under “Image File” click on the “Choose File” button. Locate your photo and select “Open” on your computer. If the photo type is incorrect (anything other than .JPG) an error message will appear. If the dimensions of the image are not within the acceptable range an error message will appear. If the size of the image is too large an error message will appear.
    Correct any errors and try again.
  4. If the file meets the type, dimensions, and size criteria, a thumbnail image of your photo will be displayed, along with the Photo information. 
  5. Verify that the file Name adheres to the File Name requirements. If it does not, select the “Clear” button, fix the file name and try again.
  6. Under “Competition Type” select the competition category for the photo.
  7. For the “Title” field, select and copy the file Name and paste into the “Title” field.
  8. Repeat the steps to add your other images to the “BPS Competition Entry Form”.
  9. Click on the “Submit” button below the form to upload your images and submit to the competition.

Once your images have been successfully submitted, click on the “Logout” button on the right side of the screen. You’re done!

To change your submission, click on the “Add, Change or Delete” button. You will be able to change information related to your submissions, delete an image, or change the Title or Competition Type.

You may login and change your submission up until the cut-off day/time for that month’s competition.

Once the cut-off day/time has passed you may no longer make changes to your submission.
