It’s wonderful to trek out into the woods, fields, and parks to photograph birds, but there are also birds nearby, right in your own neighborhood. Maybe it is not possible for you to go in search of birds, the weather may be bad, you may be unable to walk long distances or sit in the cold, or you just might like the comfort of your own home! The goal of this presentation is to give you some ideas and tools you can use to make interesting and pleasing images of the birds that are right in your own backyard. We’ll talk about planning ahead, settings and lenses, making the shot, post processing, bird identification, and the most important ingredient: patience!
