For pure storytelling, nothing beats a telephoto lens. However, shooting with a telephoto comes with a suite of technical, creative, and compositional challenges. In this presentation, Josh will teach us how to use a long lens to create stunning landscape images. He will include composition techniques, ways to add depth and dimension, the different lenses he uses, and more.
Josh is a wilderness landscape photographer living in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, California. He feels that the power of landscape photography lies in capturing the magic of real moments experienced in nature. Josh believes that every photo should tell a story and should show the viewer exactly what was most special to the photographer in any given moment. This is how he shoots and loves to teach, as well. His goal is to give photographers the tools they need to understand their story of a place and to translate that story into a photo that is personal, beautiful, and makes their viewers say WOW.
All of Josh’s workshops and courses can be found on his website: www.joshuacripps.com
