SUMMARY:Valerie Hoffman teaches how to photograph "Holiday Lights"
DESCRIPTION:Valerie Hoffman will teach us how to photograph “Holiday Lights.”  It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The holiday season\, when colorful lights and decorations can be found all around\, is a great time to challenge your photography skills and get out and shoot! For those who have never tried much beyond playing with their cellphone’s camera\, this can be a daunting task. You’re photographing in the dark\, the camera’s meter doesn’t want to give you a good exposure\, it’s hard to see to focus\, what you thought was in focus still turned out blurry… So many challenges to deal with. In this presentation we’ll talk about them all! \nJoin us as we view images and discuss exposure\, focus\, composition\, other camera settings\, gear and even some creative techniques. Then consider getting out and joining us as a group to put what you learned in practice. Valerie has it all planned. On Thursday\, December 7\, she will continue teaching with a hands on excursion to Koziar’s Christmas Village. Cost for the event is only $15\, and needs to be paid directly to Val by Dec 6th. You can bring your money to the club meeting and holiday lights presentation on Monday December 4th. For those who will not be at the GoggleWorks that evening\, you can send the money to Val using PayPal\, Venmo\, or the Cash app. You will still need to also pay your entrance fee to the Christmas Village which is $13 for adults or $12 for seniors. \nWe will meet at a designated spot prior to the village’s opening for the night\, which is 6 PM. Here is a link to Koziar’s which covers all the info about the place if you have never been: koziarschristmasvillage.com \nDue to the possibility of crowds and smallish walkways\, and so Val can give the best instruction\, we are limiting this group to only 10 people. The first 10 to contact Val and sign up are in!
