DESCRIPTION:“There is no such thing as art. There are only artists.” — The Story of Art\, E.H. Gombrich \nPhotography IS art! Per Merriam-Webster\, art is “the conscious use of skill and creative imagination…”.  \nThere are countless decisions that photographers make every  time they create a photograph. In studio photography you may control EVERYTHING! But when you are in the wild\, you lose much of that control. The very fact that you are in the wild means you have very little control. There is one thing you can still control — how you order the picture space. How we compose using the light\, weather\, subject\, background\, how much detail we decide to include or exclude. \nA major factor in controlling that detail is depth of field. How do you make your subject pop in the photo? Understanding how to use depth of field to effect your composition in the wild is a powerful tool. It is more than just selecting the f-stop. Knowing how distance to subject\, distance to background\, sensor size\, focal length\, bokeh all effect the composition is key to your artistry! \nWe will have a creative time exploring this tool for composition in the wild.
