SUMMARY:Peter Hewitt "Learning How To See" -- ZOOM presentation
DESCRIPTION:This is truly a not to be missed program that will be quite outstanding\, promise. Peter is a superb photographer\, following in the traditions of Michael Frye\, Charlotte Gibb\, and John Barclay. \n  \nThis quote sets the stage for Peter: “The question is not what you look at but what you see.” – Henry David Thoreau \n  \nPeter’s bio: I consider myself incredibly lucky to be a landscape photographer and to be able to make and sell my own fine art prints. Exploring nature with my camera is what inspires me and motivates me to be an artist. I was a molecular diagnostics development scientist for many years before turning my full attention to becoming a photographic artist around eight years ago. The skills that I have as a scientist have helped me to appreciate that creative thinking always begins with a foundation of knowledge\, learning a discipline\, and mastering a way of thinking. \n  \nPeter will discuss how to transform what the camera captured into the mental visualization realized on location. Peter’s creative path its evolving in a way that his images are well within the bounds of what is believable and evoke how the location made him feel while there. As he is reviewing a handful of before & after images like these from Glacier National Park\, Peter will intersperse the various different artistic and technical issues that came into play for the transition. \n  \nPeter’s website is www.peterhewitt.com. His also has a fine art printing service: www.peterhewitt.com/p/fine-art-printing. He can be found on Facebook & Instagram as well. \n \n  \nTHIS WILL BE A ZOOM PRESENTATION. \nClub members should check the Member Center for the Zoom meeting link. Non-members should send an email to “info@berksphotographic.com” to request the link. \n  \n
